Yeah. Today marks the day of destressing and also marks the beginning of the long awaited IT (Comex) Fair. Hurry if you have not gone yet. It lasts till Sunday 13 September. Today was over quite quickly. Planned to go with Afiq to the IT fair. Did so.

So, I was telling him to meet me at Parkway Parade at 1045-1120 yesterday night, TO BE SAFE , and that we will make our way to Suntec City from there. Well, both of us woke up late. So we took a cab to PP and (oops info overload) reached Suntec around 1120. The fair was scheduled to open at 12 nn sharp. I was slightly lost in Suntec City as I have not been there for quite long and we took 10-20 minutes getting to the convention hall.

To quote Afiq, we "stand(stood) there like idiots" and waited for the doors to open. When it did, we rushed to the playcraft store to fulfill our entire day's motive; to preorder Halo ODST and get the free unlocked Sgt. Johnson. Well, I was the SECOND to order the game, and the FIRST to get the card : P. Also, thanks to a certain circumstance, we got two sets of it. But, the bad thing is we gotta go to Causeway Point to go retrieve the game.

Anyway, a funny thing happened at the redemption booth.

Me: Err... I am trying to get the Sgt Johnson card for the ODST.

Microsoft Guy: Uhh... Sorry you are supposed to wait till the day of launch to get it from them(pointed to the store name on the receipt).

Microsoft Girl beside Guy: Anyway, you are entitled to get play this mini game to win a voucher.

I just played the game and got the $5 Voucher.

Me: No, I think you got me wrong. I am not trying to get the game, I am trying to get teh FREE GIFT from preordering this. (yeah I was quite pissed at how FRIGGIN BLUR the microsoft people were since 1 guy told me to wait for 20 minutes for a booth to be set up, then another guy told me to go to the TRADE IN BOOTH which was wrong.)

MG: Oh okay, hold on. (Turns away) JASMINE....JASMINE.... (After 1 minute, no one came). Wait ah. He goes to the storeroom located at his back.

Meanwhile, a Microsoft LADY walks past me and addresses the person behind me in the queue.

MAN: So this is where we redeem the free gift, this card, right?

ML: No... You will get it when you go get the game from the store...

So, the MAN leaves

A short while later, the MG took out a cardboard box and handed me two of the cards.

MG: Okay... Here you go. Sorry for the wait.

Anyway! Not to be snobbish, but without my help, most of the people today who preordered the game today wont get their Sgt Johnson. : P

So after hanging around Afiq and his Dad, me and Afiq went to Funan. Shopped a short while longer.

Overall, I got the ODST, a polycarbonate casing for the psp and an Assassin's Creed Faceplate for the Xbox 360! Whee...
